FAM-TRIP NORD-HOLLAND

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of German tour operators for a three-day FAM trip to North Holland, immersing them in everything this beautiful region has to offer. The trip began with lunch and an introductory session on board the MS Friesland. Afterwards, we explored the charming town of Enkhuizen on foot. There, we encountered the so-called Leugenbank, which was mentioned repeatedly throughout the trip. The walk was followed by a visit to the Zuiderzee Museum, where the past came alive.

After a comfortable night at the Hotel Alkmaar, the second day began with a walking tour of Alkmaar’s historic center. Afterwards, we traveled to the Broekerveiling (a local auction), where, following an interactive auction presentation, some of us were a little richer for our fruit or vegetables. In the afternoon, we explored Medemblik – not only on foot, but also from the comfort of an old army truck. These vehicles then took us to the War Museum. After a fascinating guided tour, we continued our journey to Hoorn, where, following a city tour, a visit and drinks were planned at the Hotel Heavens. The evening concluded at the Hotel Markstad in Schagen with a guided tour and a delicious dinner.

On the third and final day, we returned to Hoorn for a nostalgic ride on the steam train. We rode for one stop before learning all about the famous tulips on a tulip excursion. The trip ended where it began: in Enkhuizen.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks once again to all the participants. For us, it was a very successful few days, and we greatly appreciated the interesting conversations with you.
