Day 1Arrival and Immersion in Nature

  • Arrival in the Black Forest and check-in for five nights in a typical Black Forest hotel. Free time for an initial discovery or relaxation in a lush, natural setting.

Day 2Scenic drive and mountain lakes

  • Walk to the Elbachseeblick viewpoint. Visit the national park center at the Ruhestein Pass, then stroll around the Mummelsee. End the day in Sasbachwalden, with an optional visit to a wine cellar.

Day 3Traditions and Curiosities of the Black Forest

  • Day in the southern Black Forest: stop in Alpirsbach, free visit to Triberg and its famous waterfalls. Discover the world’s largest cuckoo clock. Optional visit to a glassworks and the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum with a demonstration of Black Forest Kirschtorte.

Day 4Alsatian Getaway Among Vineyards and Villages

  • Excursion to Alsace: stroll through the wine-growing village of Riquewihr with a cellar visit and tasting. In the afternoon, take the wine route to Colmar. Guided tour of the picturesque old town and its cobbled streets.

Day 5Freiburg and cruise through the forests

  • Visit Freiburg, a charming medieval town in Breisgau. Free time to stroll or enjoy a coffee. Then, head to Schluchsee for a panoramic cruise on this alpine lake surrounded by dense forests.

Day 6Vintage Train and Bucolic Landscapes

  • Departure from the hotel. Journey on the nostalgic Sauschwän Zlebahn through the hilly landscapes of the southern Black Forest. Return in the afternoon.
